Job Title: Adjunct Faculty

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty member to teach in the Social Sciences department. The successful candidate will have a Master's degree with at least 18 graduate hours in the field or a terminal degree in the field of study or closely related. The Adjunct Faculty member will be responsible for teaching three semester credit hours per 7-week term in the fully online competency-based education (CBE) format within the required discipline.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach courses in the Social Sciences department
  • Respond to student inquiries within 24 hours and provide timely feedback on assignments, assessments, and evaluation
  • Facilitate courses by adhering to the standard course syllabus
  • Assess grades based on the standard course materials
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Master's degree with at least 18 graduate hours in the field or a terminal degree in the field of study or closely related
  • Proficient with computers and Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work cooperatively with others
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Candidates who hold current relevant professional credentials
  • College or University teaching experience
  • Evidence of teaching excellence
  • Prior relevant industry experience
  • Online or hybrid teaching experience
