Role Overview:
Under general supervision, the Senior Accountant is responsible for guiding, planning, and overseeing the activities of accounting staff engaged in a variety of fiscal responsibilities while also performing complex accounting tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure tasks are completed in alignment with established policies and procedures.
- Communicate expectations and provide training to team members.
- Lead and mentor accounting personnel.
- Conduct research and evaluate work-related challenges, proposing effective solutions.
- Prepare, analyze, and interpret financial data and reports.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
Essential Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong understanding of leadership principles and practices.
- Familiarity with applicable laws, codes, and regulations.
- Knowledge of accounting standards and procedures.
- Proficiency in financial statement preparation and budget management.
- Competence in office procedures and relevant software applications.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicants must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business Administration with a focus on Accountancy, along with two years of relevant professional experience in accounting or auditing roles.
