We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cybersecurity Director to join our team. As a key member of our Cybersecurity Department, you will play a critical role in protecting our people, processes, and technology used to further our goals for the open internet.

Job Summary

The Cybersecurity Director will support the Senior Director, Cybersecurity in managing the day-to-day operations of our Cybersecurity Program and Initiatives. This includes focusing on operational excellence, driving maturity improvements through a risk-based approach, and effectively communicating the current risk picture, threat landscape, and state of maturity to both internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Assist with the strategic planning, guidance, definition, and design of enterprise-wide security initiatives to support our organization effectively and securely in meeting specific business technology needs.
  2. Contribute to the development and maintenance of a comprehensive vision and strategy for enterprise-wide security initiatives.
  3. Assist Cybersecurity leadership with providing technical direction for implementing our Cybersecurity strategy through the successful implementation of security best-practices, processes, and operations.
  4. Provide technical leadership and management of security projects from conception through deployment and handover.
  5. Assist with the coordination of design reviews to evaluate security controls and identify opportunities to enhance our security posture and alignment with our overall business strategy.
  6. Contribute to the selection and evaluation of cybersecurity tools and data sources to ensure full adoption, availability, efficacy, and peak operational performance.
  7. Develop and implement security standards, procedures, and guidelines that ensure the security, reliability, and availability of our systems and solutions.
  8. Assist with the maintenance and enforcement of our Cybersecurity policies, standards, baselines, and secure design documentation.
  9. Regularly assess the effectiveness of security measures and identify areas for improvement through regular security audits and assessments.
  10. Support the optimization of various security operations to include threat detection, threat intelligence, threat hunting, incident handling, and reporting.
  11. Collaborate with other corporate functions, including Enterprise Risk Management, Legal, Privacy, Compliance, and Privacy to ensure that we maintain and demonstrate a strong Cybersecurity posture.
  12. Communicate efficiently across all levels of management to articulate vision and direction.
  13. Participate in the recruitment, training, and development of security personnel across multiple security disciplines.
  14. Act as a mentor to all members of the Cybersecurity team, as required.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, Information Assurance or related discipline plus minimum 15+ years of experience in Cybersecurity, Information Security or Information Assurance, with at least 10+ years in security engineering or operations. 6+ years in a security leadership role.
  2. Ideal candidate will be considered a technical expert and a proven technical leader within Cybersecurity.
  3. Management and/or leadership focused security certifications are a plus. (e.g., CISSP, CISM, C|CISO, etc.)
  4. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, specifically the ability to communicate within the context of the intended audience, whether that be senior executives or highly technical engineering resources.
  5. A deep understanding of technical security issues, the implications to our company and the ability to communicate them to management and other business leaders to include emerging security technologies and the ability to determine their appropriate use within business applications.
  6. Hands-on technical experience with compliance and regulatory frameworks (e.g., SOC2, ISO 27001, NIST CSF, etc.) and how they affect architecture designs and reviews.
  7. Proven track record of successfully designing, implementing, and managing security systems and solutions for large-scale and complex organizations.
  8. Experience leading a distributed Cybersecurity program that provides 24/7 operational support and excellent service delivery is a plus.
