Key Responsibilities:
  • Process purchasing award summaries and related documentation.
  • Assist in developing strategies for the Commodity Team that align with Global Purchasing and Logistics objectives.
  • Create sourcing lists and evaluate supplier performance.
  • Proactively resolve pricing, invoicing, and contract issues with suppliers.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and annual contracts with suppliers.
  • Analyze supplier cost and pricing data, benchmarking against competitors.
  • Maintain open lines of communication among internal departments, management, and suppliers.
  • Support initiatives aimed at cost savings.
  • Implement standardized processes utilizing digital tools, common forms, and structured measurements.
  • Forecast annual material and purchasing volumes, savings, tooling costs, and repair budgets.
  • Conduct special projects as needed.
  • Uphold good housekeeping practices.
  • Adhere to professional ethics regarding confidential information.
  • Promote a culture of compliance within the area of responsibility, embodying the Rolls-Royce Code of Conduct.

Work Environment:

This position operates in a traditional office setting with a standard work schedule (Monday through Friday). Employees may occasionally be required to perform tasks in environments with odors and dust, as well as in hazardous areas.

Physical demands include sitting and manipulating small items, with occasional requirements to stand, walk, stoop, crouch, reach, and grasp items.

Qualifications:
Required:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Materials Management, or Business Finance, with 3 years of relevant experience; or 7 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management.
  • Experience managing confidential matters with discretion.
  • Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient understanding of purchasing practices and procedures.
  • Excellent financial analysis and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills.
  • Effective oral, written, and presentation communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and engineering documents.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally on a limited basis.
  • Knowledge of production planning and supply chain processes.
  • Proficient in PC and MS Office Suite.

Preferred:
  • Specific knowledge of Off-Highway Diesel Engine commodities.
  • Experience with SAP.
  • Engineering or technical degree.
  • Proficiency in the German language.
