Core Responsibilities:
  1. Compile and process purchasing award summaries and related documentation.
  2. Assist in formulating Commodity Team strategies that align with Global Purchasing and Logistics objectives.
  3. Develop and maintain sourcing lists while monitoring supplier performance.
  4. Proactively address all pricing, invoicing, and contract-related issues with suppliers.
  5. Negotiate pricing, terms, and annual contracts with suppliers.
  6. Analyze supplier cost and pricing data, benchmarking against competitors.
  7. Facilitate open communication among internal departments, management, and suppliers.
  8. Support initiatives aimed at cost savings.
  9. Contribute to the implementation of standardized processes through digitalization, common forms, metrics, and structure.
  10. Forecast annual material purchasing volumes, savings, tooling costs, and repair budgets.
  11. Execute special projects as needed.
  12. Maintain organized and efficient work practices.
  13. Uphold professional ethics regarding the handling of confidential information.
  14. Foster a culture of compliance within the area of responsibility, embodying the principles of the Rolls-Royce Code of Conduct.
Work Environment:

Conditions:

Qualifications:

Required:
  1. Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Materials Management, or Business Finance, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement, materials management, supplier cost analysis, or supply chain management; or 7 years of relevant experience.
  2. Experience managing confidential and sensitive matters with discretion.
  3. Strong negotiation capabilities.
  4. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively.
  5. Comprehensive understanding of purchasing practices and procedures.
  6. Robust financial and cost analysis skills, particularly for complex issues.
  7. Strong organizational, planning, and follow-up abilities.
  8. Exceptional oral, written, and presentation communication skills, with an understanding of internal customer needs.
  9. Ability to interpret blueprints and engineering documents.
  10. Self-motivated with the capacity to work independently with minimal supervision.
  11. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally on a limited basis and learn commodity processes at supplier locations.
  12. Knowledge of production planning, supply chain, and/or materials management processes.
  13. Proficient in PC and MS Office Suite.
Preferred:
  1. Specific knowledge of Off-Highway Diesel Engine commodities, materials, and products.
  2. Experience with SAP.
  3. Engineering or technical degree.
  4. Proficiency in the German language.
