About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team at APX Construction Group LLC. As an Estimator, you will play a critical role in the success of our projects by providing accurate and detailed cost estimates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with project teams to develop and maintain project budgets and schedules.
  • Analyze project plans, specifications, and scope of work to determine project costs and produce detailed estimates.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure reliable and competitive pricing.
  • Conduct cost comparisons and evaluate the financial impact of different approaches and scenarios.
  • Participate in bid review meetings and provide insights and recommendations to enhance the competitiveness of bids.
  • Manage project costs and communicate effectively with internal and external project team members.
Requirements
  • 2-year degree in Construction Management, Accounting, or applicable area.
  • 5+ years of estimating, procurement management experience.
  • 2 years of experience as a Project Manager in Commercial Construction (preferred).
  • In-depth knowledge of commercial construction industry methods, practices, materials, and tools involved in construction.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret project documents.
  • Self-directed leader with excellent organizational, communication, and project management skills.
Physical and Mental Demands
  • Ability to work in various conditions from office, field, client locations, and job sites.
  • Ability to work with various office equipment in various environments.
  • Ability to frequently sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time and distance.
  • Ability to think critically, recognize connections, translate goals into action, and use sound judgment to make choices in alignment with strategy, production schedules, project budgets, and company culture/values.
