Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Speech Therapist to join our team at Sevita, a leading provider of home and community-based specialized healthcare services. As a Speech Therapist, you will play a critical role in the rehabilitation of individuals with functional disabilities of speech, language, voice, and swallowing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and evaluate clients' speech and language skills, development, articulation ability, and voice and fluency disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans, coordinating with the Director of Clinical Services and clients' physicians as needed.
  • Provide effective evaluations, documentation, and communication of medical information to ensure optimal client outcomes.
  • Collaborate with clients, family members, and primary caregivers to ensure the maintenance of or acquisition of optimal functioning levels.
  • Ensure effective coordination of client home care services through timely completion of required documentation and transfer of pertinent medical data.
  • Investigate and take appropriate actions on client or employee concerns and complaints, maintaining HIPAA compliance and a safe patient environment.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Speech Therapy or Speech/Language Pathology and one year's experience as a Speech Therapist.
  • Current state licensure/certification as a Speech Therapist.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
Physical Requirements
  • Medium Work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
