**Job Summary**

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Therapist to join our team at LHC Group. As a Speech Therapist, you will be responsible for evaluating patients to determine their rehabilitation potential, identifying their needs, and developing individualized treatment plans to help them achieve their goals.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Evaluate patients to determine their rehabilitation potential and identify their needs.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans to help patients achieve their goals.
  • Utilize equipment in a proper and safe manner, maintain equipment inspection, maintenance, and cleaning logs, and report broken or faulty equipment.
  • Follow medical regimens developed for patients, be aware of and adhere to precautions if applicable (e.g. THR, TKR, Cardiac, Wound, etc.).
  • Utilize safe treatment techniques to include compensatory methods for swallowing and communication.
  • Select proper diagnostic materials to assess all aspects of communication and/or swallowing function.
  • Complete discharge summaries for each patient on their final visit to outpatient ST.

**Requirements**

  • Current Speech Language Pathologist licensure in the state of practice.
  • Current CPR certification required.
  • Current driver's license, vehicle insurance, and access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.
