Job Summary

The Speech Language Pathologist PD provides direct patient and family centered care while under the direction of the Rehabilitation Leadership Team. This includes, but is not limited to, evaluation, assessment, and treatment planning based on functional needs. Works with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care and adjust treatment plan as necessary. May participate in department-wide process improvement initiatives and program development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and assess patients to determine functional needs and develop treatment plans.
  • Provide direct patient care, including speech and language therapy, to patients of all ages.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Participate in department-wide process improvement initiatives and program development.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Communicative Disorders or equivalent.
  • California license in Speech Language Pathology.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • One (1) year of experience in pediatric rehabilitation, preferably with feeding/swallowing experience.
  • VitalStim certification preferred.
Work Environment

Medium - High energy level. Lift and carry 40-50 lbs. Push/pull +/ lbs. (Patients on bed, stretcher) Lateral transfer lbs. (ie. Patient).
