Job Overview

Navarro Research and Engineering is seeking a highly skilled QA Technical Specialist to join our team in Carlsbad, NM. As a QA Technical Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of our nuclear waste characterization and disposal operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess the effectiveness of activities associated with radioactive mixed waste characterization, packaging, transportation, and disposal.
  • Work with technical disciplines associated with nuclear facilities, waste characterization processes, hazardous materials, engineering, chemistry, industrial safety, nuclear safety, radioactive packaging, and transportation.
  • Develop and implement quality assurance procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate risks associated with nuclear waste management.

Requirements:

  • 10 to 20 years of directly relevant and applicable experience OR a Bachelor's degree and 5 to 15 years of relevant experience OR a Master's degree and three to 10 years of relevant experience in the specific discipline or subject matter area required by the project.
  • Working-level knowledge of technical disciplines associated with nuclear facilities, waste characterization processes, hazardous materials, engineering, chemistry, industrial safety, nuclear safety, radioactive packaging, and transportation.
  • US citizenship is required due to government contract requirements and/or clearances requirements.
