Job Summary:

Los Alamos Technical Associates is seeking a highly skilled Certified Health Physicist to provide technical support to the WIPP Radiological Controls department. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring radiological support for WIPP operations is conducted in accordance with approved procedures and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the implementation and continuing improvement of the WIPP radiological control program.
  • Provide technical health physics support to the Radiation Protection Program in assigned areas as a subject matter expert.
  • Ensure compliance with 10 CFR 835 and ALARA principles.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Health Physics, Engineering, Science, or related field with ten (10) years of related experience as a Radiological Engineer, Radiological Control Engineer, or equivalent.
  • Certified Health Physicist (CHP) certification.
  • Previous WIPP Project experience is a plus.

Compensation:

USD $134,000 - USD $242,316 per year.
