Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the production, preparation, and presentation of all food items.
Manage profit and loss costs.
Responsible for hiring and training kitchen staff across all stations.
A successful Head Chef is an effective communicator, organized, and possesses extensive knowledge of diverse cuisines, cooking techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
We seek an innovative culinary professional with strong leadership and management skills who is passionate about delivering exceptional dining experiences through their culinary creations.
Main Duties:
Lead by example alongside the Executive Chef to ensure effective and efficient dining experiences by managing the heart of house (HOH) operations, staffing, food production, accommodating special requests, dietary restrictions, and adhering to allergy protocols.
Foster professional relationships within the team and provide educational opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in various aspects of the business.
Drive processes to maintain an efficient kitchen while ensuring the highest quality of food for all dishes served.
Oversee staff schedules, payroll, kitchen setup and breakdown, production, and ensure staff adhere to uniform standards and disciplinary procedures when necessary.
Encourage teamwork and synergy between front and back of house staff through effective communication and delegation of tasks to ensure smooth service and kitchen operations.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3-4+ years of experience in a similar high-volume culinary environment that reflects global culinary traditions and consistently elevated dishes.
Experience managing profit and loss, labor, purchasing, vendor relations, and quality control while achieving revenue goals.
Must demonstrate consistent and stable work history and possess the desire to support the business both as an individual contributor and a leader.
Food Serve Safe certification is required, along with familiarity with local sanitation regulations.Proficient in email etiquette and possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experienced in training and leading teams, as well as producing large quantities of food, with excellent knowledge of quality food operations.
High school diploma or equivalent trade school education is required.Benefits:
