Position Overview:

GeorgiaGov is looking for an exceptional candidate to fill the role of Program Coordinator for the Clean Energy initiative within the Industrial & Transportation Technology sector. This role is pivotal in advancing our commitment to sustainable energy solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the principal investigator to ensure all program activities are in line with funding goals.
  • Coordinate with facilities for lab upgrades and manage contractor payments.
  • Engage with designated partners to guarantee timely completion of deliverables.
  • Assist in data gathering and reporting processes.
  • Prepare comprehensive written and oral reports related to the program.
  • Organize training sessions for instructors, manage teaching schedules, and oversee grant-related stipends.
  • Research training opportunities in clean energy for instructors and program staff.
  • Participate in clean energy conferences and workshops.
  • Manage workflow related to the program to ensure all activities are on track and objectives are met promptly.

Required Competencies:

  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, along with strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • High proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
  • Able to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
  • A quick learner with a commitment to achieving and enhancing program objectives.

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must possess a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a relevant field and have a minimum of two years of directly related experience. Note that relevant experience may substitute for educational qualifications on a year-for-year basis.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preference will be given to candidates who also meet the following criteria:

  • A bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution in a relevant field, along with three or more years of directly related experience.
  • One to three years of experience in Project Management, Grants Management, Business Administration, or Technology Management.
  • Advanced computer skills and familiarity with software and internet applications.
