About the Role

The Application Development Manager will be responsible for delivering Throtle's suite of internal and externally facing integrations and APIs. From technical design to performance monitoring, you'll own it all. Reporting directly to the CTO, you'll be working with Throtle's client care and product teams to define requirements and identify areas for improvement. In addition, you'll be providing guidance, mentoring, and defining the professional development of your team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Leadership: Manage the design and performance of integrations and APIs.
  • Team Management: Lead a team of developers.
  • Project Management: Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
  • Resource Allocation: Estimate the resources needed to achieve project goals.
  • Communication: Plan sprints and communicate release and milestones to the stakeholders.
  • Coaching and Mentoring: Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise team members.
  • Process Improvement: Work with other team members and management to continuously improve processes, performance, and the work environment.
  • Compliance: Position will require that the individual understands all regulations and laws applicable to their assigned roles and responsibilities. Additionally, the individual will be responsible for the development, implementation, and regular maintenance of policies and procedures that govern the work of assigned roles and responsibilities, including compliance with the security requirements of ePHI.
Requirements
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Technical Skills: Deep focus on execution, follow-through, accountability, and results. Strong technical background with the ability to proactively identify and mitigate technical risks throughout delivery life cycle.
  • Experience: 3+ years' direct work experience in a management or lead capacity role, including all aspects of development and execution.
  • Technical Expertise: Experience with multiple programming frameworks – including Java, and Python. Experience with Agile / Scrum development framework. Experience working both independently and, in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential. Exposure or experience with AWS and Snowflake. Exposure to NoSQL data stores. Exposure to big data processing. Programming experience in Scala, GO, or Java.
