Position: Plant Manager

Role Summary:

The Plant Manager will play a pivotal role in driving our operational initiatives, showcasing expertise in change management, growth strategies, and operational enhancements. This individual will uphold our commitment to Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) standards, demonstrate integrity, and exhibit exceptional communication and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead all facets of manufacturing operations, focusing on safety, quality, maintenance, cGMP, and EHS compliance.
  • Guide and mentor the manufacturing team to ensure achievement of annual performance targets.
  • Allocate time effectively: 60% on the production floor, 30% on administrative tasks, and 10% on meetings and other duties.
  • Educate and inspire the manufacturing workforce to meet production goals.
  • Develop and enforce operational policies and procedures to meet strategic objectives.
  • Set and monitor goals to ensure cost-effective and high-quality performance.
  • Pursue continuous improvement in manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Manage labor costs, quality returns, and repair expenses effectively.
  • Demonstrate business leadership that aligns with plant objectives daily.
  • Drive the completion of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Facilitate effective communication across all teams.
  • Create a culture of development and encouragement for all employees to reach their full potential.
  • Supervise general and line supervisors to ensure production targets are met.
  • Achieve financial goals through accurate forecasting and budget management.
  • Review and adjust production costs and quality control measures to maintain profitability.
  • Oversee operations to meet monthly profit targets with a focus on output.
  • Ensure compliance with all EH&S and OSHA regulations.
  • Direct maintenance efforts to maximize equipment utilization.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the workplace.
  • Exhibit unwavering commitment to EHS standards, prioritizing workforce health and safety.
  • Demonstrate integrity in all interactions with stakeholders.
  • Utilize strategic thinking and business acumen to enhance operational performance.
  • Engage stakeholders collaboratively in problem-solving and decision-making processes.
  • Communicate effectively across all levels, ensuring clarity and consistency.
  • Exhibit strong leadership capabilities to develop talent and motivate teams.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Over 10 years of experience in a continuous operation and GMP environment.
  • Proven experience in leading teams within a filling and packaging manufacturing setting.
  • Familiarity with liquid, lotion, cream, and aerosol processing and filling is preferred.
  • Demonstrated track record of safety excellence.
  • Strong problem-solving and process understanding skills.
  • Experience in managing operating budgets effectively.
