Role Summary:

The Plant Manager will play a pivotal role in driving ongoing projects, showcasing exceptional change management skills, and fostering operational enhancements. This individual will be dedicated to upholding Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) standards, exhibiting integrity, and demonstrating effective communication and leadership abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead all facets of manufacturing operations, ensuring safety, quality, maintenance, cGMP, and EHS compliance.
  • Coach and guide the manufacturing team to achieve annual performance targets.
  • Allocate time effectively: 60% on the production floor, 30% on administrative tasks, and 10% on meetings.
  • Educate and inspire the manufacturing workforce to meet production goals.
  • Develop and enforce operational policies and procedures to meet objectives.
  • Set and monitor goals to ensure cost-effective and high-quality performance.
  • Pursue continuous improvement in manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Manage labor costs, quality returns, and repair expenses.
  • Demonstrate daily commitment to plant objectives through effective leadership.
  • Oversee the achievement of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Facilitate communication across all teams.
  • Create a supportive environment that encourages employee development and achievement of company goals.
  • Supervise general and line supervisors regarding production volume, cost, and quality.
  • Meet financial targets by forecasting needs and supporting the budgeting process.
  • Analyze production costs and quality, adjusting control programs to enhance profitability.
  • Direct operations to achieve monthly profit targets with a focus on output.
  • Ensure compliance with all EH&S and OSHA regulations.
  • Guide maintenance efforts to maximize equipment utilization.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the workplace.
  • Exhibit a strong commitment to EHS standards and promote a culture of safety.
  • Demonstrate integrity in all interactions with associates and stakeholders.
  • Utilize strategic thinking and business acumen to drive improvements in key metrics.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Over 10 years of management experience in a continuous operation and GMP environment.
  • Proven experience leading teams in a filling and packaging manufacturing setting.
  • Familiarity with liquid, lotion, cream, and aerosol processing and filling is preferred.
  • Demonstrated track record of strong safety performance.
  • Ability to analyze processes and resolve issues effectively.
  • Experience in developing and managing operating budgets.
