Job Description

Job Summary:

The Major League Baseball Players Association is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Digital Media Communications Intern to join our team. As a Digital Media Communications Intern, you will be responsible for supporting the Association's day-to-day media, social media, and marketing communications activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor news and social media platforms to stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments.
  • Assist with the creation and implementation of digital communications strategies to promote the Association's labor, licensing, and not-for-profit activities.
  • Develop and maintain social media content, including graphics, videos, and written posts.
  • Collaborate with the communications team to support the development and implementation of short- and long-term digital communications projects.
  • Provide administrative support to the communications team, including data entry, research, and other tasks as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in public relations, communications, sports management, graphic design, or labor relations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Working knowledge of various social media platforms and applications.
  • Experience with content management systems (e.g., Wix, WordPress) is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Recent graduates or current students in a related field.
  • Knowledge of Major League Baseball and its operations.
