The Senior Financial Analyst plays a pivotal role within the Financial Planning and Analysis team, focusing on forecasting, market evaluation, and business case development. This position collaborates with various functional divisions to enhance financial planning, analysis, and management reporting. The analyst will work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Product Innovation teams to deliver comprehensive analyses that inform strategic decision-making.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Financial Reporting & Analysis
  • Develop monthly reporting packages to support the executive team through financial business evaluations.
  • Generate weekly reports on essential operating metrics and financial outcomes.
  • Facilitate new product launch initiatives through market evaluation and business case development.
  • Lead demand consensus meetings, including preparation of presentations, analysis of variances to plans, and alignment of sales and marketing strategies.
  • Oversee sales and demand forecasting for annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes.
Sales & Marketing Collaboration
  • Regularly communicate trends, insights, risks, and opportunities to Sales and Marketing teams.
  • Conduct market research and competitive assessments to pinpoint potential growth opportunities.
  • Analyze competitive landscapes in the markets relevant to the company.
  • Evaluate sales performance metrics, including revenue, growth rates, and customer segmentation.
  • Work with sales and marketing teams to refine sales strategies and campaigns.
  • Provide root cause analysis comparing actuals to forecasts.
Financial Modeling
  • Construct and maintain forecasting models that incorporate market trends and consumer insights.
  • Develop sales forecasts and projections utilizing statistical modeling techniques.
  • Continuously enhance the demand forecasting model to reflect assumptions and new developments.
  • Assist in preparing long-term financial models to support M&A activities as necessary.
  • Identify and communicate key insights from forecasts in a clear and concise manner to drive commercial outcomes.
Board and Investor Presentation Support
  • Aid in the preparation of materials and presentations for the Board and other external investor requests related to market insights and demand forecasting.
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses as required.
Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates must meet the following qualifications:

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field, or over five years of equivalent experience. An MBA, CPA, or CFA is preferred.

Additional Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in corporate FP&A or Finance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python, Tableau, Power BI).
  • Experience with statistical modeling and forecasting methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to create executive-level presentations.
  • Highly analytical, data-driven, and results-oriented.
  • Capacity to synthesize large data sets into clear narratives tailored to various stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of providing insights and solutions to enhance business performance.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and a strong work ethic.
