The Financial Analyst plays a pivotal role within the Financial Planning and Analysis team, concentrating on forecasting, market evaluation, and business case development. This position will work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Product Development to deliver comprehensive analyses that inform decision-making and strategic direction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Financial Reporting & Analysis
  • Develop monthly reporting packages to support the executive team through financial business assessments.
  • Generate weekly reports on essential operational metrics and financial outcomes.
  • Facilitate new product launch initiatives through market evaluation and business case development.
  • Lead demand consensus meetings, including preparation of presentations, key drivers for changes, variance analysis, risk assessment, and alignment with sales/marketing strategies.
  • Oversee sales and demand forecasting for annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes, ensuring continuous monitoring of current demand.
Sales & Marketing Support
  • Regularly communicate trends, insights, risks, and opportunities to Sales and Marketing teams.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to uncover potential growth opportunities.
  • Perform competitive landscape assessments in relevant markets.
  • Analyze sales performance metrics, including revenue, growth rates, promotional ROI, and customer segmentation.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to enhance sales strategies and campaigns.
  • Provide root cause analysis for discrepancies between actuals and forecasts.
Financial Modeling
  • Design and maintain forecasting models that incorporate market trends and consumer insights.
  • Develop sales forecasts and projections utilizing statistical modeling techniques.
  • Continuously refine demand forecasting models to accurately reflect and communicate assumptions and new developments.
  • Assist in the preparation of long-term financial models to support M&A activities as necessary.
  • Identify and present key insights from forecasts in a clear and concise manner to drive commercial outcomes.
Board and Investor Presentation Coordination
  • Aid in the preparation of Board materials and presentations, along with other ad hoc requests from external investors, related to market insights and demand forecasting.
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses as required.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's Degree (BA, BS) in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field, or five years of equivalent job-related experience. MBA, CPA, or CFA is preferred.

Other Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in corporate FP&A or Finance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python, Tableau, Power BI).
  • Experience with statistical modeling and forecasting methodologies.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to create executive-level presentations.
  • Highly analytical, data-driven, and results-oriented.
  • Capability to synthesize large volumes of data into coherent narratives tailored to various stakeholder groups and objectives.
  • Experience in providing insights and solutions to enhance business performance.
  • Exceptionally organized with a strong work ethic.
