We are seeking a skilled Advanced Practice Practitioner

Hours: 40 10A - 6P

Shift: Day/Evening: Weekend, holiday, call

Responsibilities
  • This position reports to the Physician-in-Chief of Psychiatry, receiving oversight and supervision from a Psychiatrist.
  • Provide a range of consultation-liaison and emergency department psychiatric services as directed, supporting the Southcoast Department of Psychiatry and Southcoast Physician Group, in accordance with Massachusetts regulations governing Nurse Practitioner practice.
  • Participate in weekend coverage in rotation with other departmental clinicians as needed.
  • Engage in quality improvement initiatives and ensure timely, appropriate medical record documentation and billing.
Qualifications
  • Experience working with the adult behavioral health population, with a particular interest or background in Substance Use Disorders and/or Geriatrics.
  • Exemplary standards of excellence, respect, communication, courtesy, enthusiasm, initiative, and teamwork, with the ability to develop complex patient management recommendations in collaboration with the attending Psychiatrist.
  • A minimum of one year of clinical experience is required.
  • Nurse Practitioner: Current licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
  • Certification (or current eligibility) issued by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for practice as a Registered Nurse in an expanded role is required.
  • A current Nurse Practitioner license is mandatory.
