Position Overview:
The LPN for Adult and Youth Crisis Stabilization plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality nursing and medical care to clients under the guidance of the Nurse Manager.
This role involves being a dedicated healthcare professional who actively engages in the implementation of the agency's treatment objectives and methodologies.
The LPN provides care to children, adolescents, and adults, adhering to established medical standards.
Our crisis stabilization units, YCCS and ACCS, serve as short-term facilities within Acute Care Services for individuals up to 18 years old and adults aged 18 and above.
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver short-term crisis stabilization and therapeutic interventions in a structured environment with a high level of supervision.
- Assess and monitor patients' mental health conditions, creating tailored care plans.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments while observing and reporting any changes in patients' conditions to the healthcare team.
- Provide emotional support and counseling to patients and their families.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate and complete patient documentation.
- Assist in coordinating admissions and discharges by collaborating with the treatment team.
- Participate in case reviews and assist with triage in the Emergency Services Program as necessary.
- Engage in ongoing professional development and training initiatives.
- Attend regular supervision sessions with the Nurse Manager.
Qualifications:
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in Massachusetts.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
- Compassionate and empathetic disposition.
- Familiarity with psychiatric medications.
Compensation:
Starting salary ranges from $30 to $33 per hour, based on experience, plus shift differentials and a $2,500 sign-on bonus for full-time positions.
Available Shifts:
Sunday- 2nd, Monday- 2nd, Tuesday- 2nd, Wednesday- 1st, Thursday- 2nd, Friday- 1st, 2nd, 3rd, Saturday- 1st, 2nd, 3rd.
Shift Differentials:
- Saturday-Sunday 1st Shift + $2.50/hour
- Monday-Friday 2nd Shift + $1.50/hour
- Saturday & Sunday 2nd Shift + $4.00/hour
- Sunday-Thursday 3rd Shift + $5.00/hour
- Friday & Saturday 3rd Shift + $7.50/hour
Language Differential:
$1/hour for eligible languages including Cape Verdean Creole, Haitian Creole, Portuguese, Spanish, or ASL.
