Position Summary

Orion Security Solutions is on the lookout for a skilled technical security technician to fill a full-time role. Role Responsibilities

The Senior Technician/Team Lead will be responsible for guiding site technicians to ensure the effective and efficient installation and integration of security solutions. This role demands strong personnel and time management abilities to effectively organize and lead project teams.

Qualifications

Minimum Education: High school diploma or GED

Minimum Experience: A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in low voltage and/or security fields, which may include supervisory roles, Access Control, Video, and Intrusion Detection System installation, system design, or other low voltage system installations.

Desired Skills

Candidates should possess:

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and plans
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in G Suite and Microsoft Office applications (primarily Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Operational knowledge of various video surveillance, access control, and security systems
  • Effective organizational and conflict resolution skills
  • Familiarity with cable infrastructure
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead installation and integration teams to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers to adhere to project management plans.
  • Maintain open communication with project managers regarding project status and requirements.
  • Mentor and train junior technicians.
  • Engage with clients to foster strong relationships and ensure project scopes are met.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and report any incidents.
  • Fulfill additional responsibilities as required by OSS.
Travel and Physical Requirements

Travel may be necessary for this position.

Physical demands include:

  • Regularly standing, walking, and using hands for various tasks
  • Frequent lifting and moving of objects up to 50 pounds, with occasional lifting of up to 75 pounds
  • Ability to perform tasks that require climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, and crawling
