POSITION SUMMARY:

In the role of Fire Protection Technician Trainee, you will collaborate with seasoned Fire Protection Technicians to install, maintain, and troubleshoot fire protection systems. The ideal candidate should possess mechanical aptitude and a strong desire to learn.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Support Fire Protection Technicians in the installation of piping systems and valves
  • Interpret blueprints to adhere to product specifications
  • Accurately measure materials required for projects
  • Acquire knowledge of proper installation methods
  • Carry out additional assigned tasks as necessary

REQUIREMENTS:

Education and Training:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory
  • Must enroll and secure a current Fire Protection License

Experience and Skills:

  • Mechanical skills and familiarity with basic hand tools
  • Ability to work effectively under the supervision of Fire Protection Technicians
  • Strong analytical and customer service abilities
  • Proficient communication skills in English

Technical Skills:

  • Ability to read electronic schematics is preferred

Additional Qualifications:

  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
  • Adherence to the company's Drug and Alcohol policy and Background screening protocols

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Employees must be capable of performing essential job functions that include physical activities such as bending, lifting, and standing for prolonged periods. Travel may be necessary, and employees should be ready to work in diverse environments with potential safety risks.
