Essential Qualifications:

Position Overview:

The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of assigned projects. This role ensures that all contracted tasks are executed, implemented, and managed in line with the standards set by IES Communications, focusing on safety, quality, management, and financial performance. Efficiency in staffing, materials management, financial oversight, customer service, and delivery objectives is paramount.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Recruit, hire, train, manage, and supervise all project-related personnel, addressing human resource matters in accordance with company policies. Provide performance evaluations and guidance to help achieve both customer and company objectives.
  2. Oversee workload distribution and monitor progress on customer delivery and job installations.
  3. Plan, manage, and maintain project profitability to align with company goals.
  4. Review job cost postings for accuracy, including invoice preparation, customer collections, and financial reporting.
  5. Address all quality and safety concerns related to customer projects.
  6. Participate in and facilitate the bidding process.
  7. Act as the liaison between the company and customer representatives.
  8. Develop and implement process improvements for account management.
  9. Other duties as assigned.

  • Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking abilities, with strong communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and project documents effectively.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.
  • Ability to learn and utilize company and customer project management systems.
  • Must be able to secure and maintain a company-sponsored credit card.
  • Proficient in using various trade tools relevant to the role.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • RCDD certification is a plus.
  • Experience in customer relations, acting as a liaison between clients and the company.
  • A minimum of five years in a supervisory or managerial capacity is required.
  • At least five years of experience in telecommunications or a related technical field is necessary.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, MS Project) is essential.
  • Must meet company driving standards.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proven track record in defining project scopes, developing detailed tasks, and managing projects to completion.
