Overview:

The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of assigned projects. This role ensures that all contracted tasks are executed, implemented, and managed in alignment with the standards set by IES Communications, including safety, quality, management, and financial performance. Efficiency in staffing, materials management, financial oversight, customer service, and delivery goals is paramount.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Recruit, hire, train, manage, and supervise all personnel associated with the project. Address human resource matters in accordance with company policies and procedures, including performance evaluations and promotions.
  2. Oversee workload distribution and track the progress of customer delivery and job installations.
  3. Plan, manage, and maintain project profitability to meet organizational objectives.
  4. Review job cost entries for accuracy, including invoice preparation, customer collections, and financial reporting.
  5. Address all quality and safety concerns related to customer projects.
  6. Engage in and/or facilitate the bidding process.
  7. Act as the primary liaison between the company and customer representatives.
  8. Develop and implement process improvements for account management.
  9. Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

  • Must be self-driven, positive, and professional, capable of leading others in creating and implementing project improvements.
  • Promote the company culture and mission to all stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking abilities are essential.
  • Ability to interpret blueprints and project documentation, including specifications and quality requirements.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary within designated territories.
  • Ability to learn and utilize company and customer project management systems.
  • Must be able to secure and maintain a company-sponsored credit card.
  • Proficiency in using various trade tools is required.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • A minimum of a High School diploma or GED; a Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
  • RCDD certification is a plus.
  • Experience in customer relations is essential.
  • At least five years of supervisory or managerial experience is required.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in telecommunications or a related technical field is necessary.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, MS Project) is required.
  • Must meet the company's driving standards.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously is essential.
  • Proven ability to define project scopes, develop detailed tasks, and manage projects to completion is necessary.
