Position Overview:

The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing all facets of assigned projects. This role ensures that all contracted tasks are executed, implemented, and supervised in alignment with the standards of IES Communications, encompassing safety, quality, management, and financial performance metrics. The objective is to conduct all project-related activities as efficiently as possible, focusing on staffing, resource management, financial oversight, customer service, and delivery objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Recruit, hire, train, manage, and supervise all personnel associated with the project. Address human resource matters in accordance with company policies and procedures. Provide recommendations for performance evaluations, promotions, and salary adjustments for project staff. Offer guidance and mentorship to achieve customer and company objectives.
  2. Oversee workload distribution and track customer delivery and job installation progress.
  3. Plan, manage, and monitor project profitability to meet company targets.
  4. Review job cost entries for accuracy and completeness, including invoice preparation, customer collections, and periodic financial reporting to both customers and management.
  5. Address all quality and safety concerns related to customer projects.
  6. Participate in and/or facilitate the bidding process.
  7. Act as the primary liaison between the company and customer representatives.
  8. Develop and implement process improvements for account management.
  9. Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

  • Must be self-driven, maintain a positive outlook, and lead teams to foster project process enhancements.
  • Promote the company culture and mission to all stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities, with effective communication skills for presentations.
  • Possess a high level of proficiency in interpreting blueprints and project documentation, including specifications and quality requirements.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary within the designated territory.
  • Ability to learn and utilize company and customer project management systems.
  • Must be able to secure and maintain a company-sponsored credit card.
  • Familiarity with essential trade tools is required.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • A minimum of a High School diploma or GED; a Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
  • RCDD certification is advantageous.
  • Experience in customer relations, serving as a liaison between clients and the company.
  • At least five (5) years of supervisory or managerial experience is required.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience in telecommunications or a related technical or construction field is necessary.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and MS Project) is essential.
  • Must meet the company's driving standards.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks concurrently.
  • Demonstrated capability to define project scopes, develop detailed task lists, and manage projects to successful completion and client handover.
