Business Services Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Services Specialist to join our team at First State Community Bank. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in promoting and selling our business services to new and existing customers, while coaching our internal teams on how to build successful partnerships.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with FSCB staff and customers to understand their needs and provide value through our business services.
  • Maintain a constant feedback loop with customers and FSCB staff to improve the Business Services experience.
  • Record events, issues, and resolutions in our Customer Relationship Management system.
  • Develop and maintain a sales pipeline independently and in coordination with your market.
  • Collaborate with our team to develop, implement, and market new business products and services.
  • Coordinate or assist customers with onboarding new business services and relationships.
  • Coach internal teams and producers on building successful partnerships.
  • Act as a trusted representative of the bank to our customers, understanding their needs and recommending services that meet those needs.
  • Develop and expand relationships with business services, referrals to FSIA, FSFM, Government Lending, and other partners.
  • Develop reporting, business analyses, and presentations to identify and target customers for Business Growth.

Qualifications:
  • The ability to listen attentively and communicate clearly with customers.
  • Excellent written and oral presentation skills.
  • Strong advisory skills, able to recognize customer needs, connect services to needs, and execute when the customer is ready to use a product.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the highest level of professionalism, confidentiality, and time-sensitivity.
  • The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment with a high volume of referrals.
  • Availability for occasional overnight travel, extended or flexible hours.
  • A working knowledge of cash management products, including Merchant Services, Commercial Credit Cards, ACH, Wire Transfer Services, Remote Deposit Capture, Business Online Banking, and Positive Pay.
