The Director position entails collaborating across various teams, product domains, and areas to gather insights and devise solutions that deliver value to customers while aligning with business objectives. This role is pivotal in identifying and creating exceptional client experiences tailored for Fidelity's younger clientele. Responsibilities include leading strategic product development discussions, formulating a prioritized roadmap of features and capabilities, segmenting tasks into manageable components with clear objectives, and utilizing data to prioritize initiatives in conjunction with the Squad Leader and Scrum Master to maximize value delivery. A deep understanding of customer needs, the ability to establish experimentation frameworks, and the capacity to evaluate performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) and revenue goals are essential.

Qualifications and Skills Required
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent with over 12 years of experience, or a Master's Degree with over 10 years of experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial services, coupled with experience in digital client design and technology development.
  • Proven experience in creating product offerings for students ranging from middle school to college.
  • Expertise in vendor selection and management.
  • Strong analytical skills, strategic thinking, product management capabilities, and a collaborative mindset focused on delivering effective client experiences.
  • A data-driven approach to understanding customer needs, translating objectives into actionable plans, and prioritizing to enhance value delivery.
  • Ability to think outside traditional financial services to create superior experiences, build trust with partners, and influence without direct authority.
  • Strategic thinking regarding business goals and the integration of unique elements to craft comprehensive client journeys that address critical customer needs. A problem solver capable of navigating complex business challenges and devising practical solutions.
  • Ability to encourage, prioritize, and coordinate delivery while providing strategic guidance to align efforts and communicate progress, decisions, obstacles, and risks to stakeholders.
  • Proficient in managing multiple initiatives simultaneously and working independently to achieve high-quality results in a timely manner.
  • Experience in a dynamic, collaborative, client-centric environment with a positive, proactive attitude.
  • Skilled in synthesizing data from various sources and presenting analysis, insights, and themes in a clear and concise manner.

The Team

The Young Customer Product Area was established to spearhead an enterprise strategy aimed at attracting and retaining the next generation of clients. This global team is supported by multiple business units and is responsible for defining the young product strategy, assisting partners outside the product area in launching initiatives for this demographic, and collaborating with marketing partners on go-to-market strategies. Within this product area, we will also be ideating and developing products from inception. Our objective is to create a customer-centric ecosystem that enhances our speed to market while consistently delivering innovative and user-friendly digital experiences.
