About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Modeler to join our Data team at Fidelity TalentSource LLC. As a Senior Data Modeler, you will play a critical role in collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain data models that support business intelligence and analytics initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support business intelligence and analytics initiatives.
  • Collaborate with product teams, data engineering teams, architecture, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into data models.
  • Develop and maintain data models using AWS and/or on-premises services.
  • Work closely with data governance teams to identify and capture business and technical metadata associated with various data entities.
  • Develop and maintain data modeling standards and guidelines to ensure consistency and quality across the organization.
  • Provide data modeling expertise to support data warehousing, data transformations, and data governance initiatives.
  • Collaborate with data engineering teams to design and implement data pipelines and data integration solutions.
  • Develop and maintain data catalogs and data lineages to support data governance and compliance initiatives.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, data science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in relational, dimensional, and/or analytic data modeling.
  • Strong SQL knowledge and experience working with databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, and Teradata.
  • Experience with data modeling tools such as Erwin or ER Studio.
  • Strong understanding of data governance processes and metadata repositories.
  • Experience working with data governance teams to identify and capture business and technical metadata associated with various data entities.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Alation and Collibra to drive data cataloging and data lineage.
  • Experience with data warehousing and data transformations.
  • Experience with data governance and compliance initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling principles and standard methodologies.
