Position Overview:

As a pivotal figure in the Engineering Technology Software Development Center of Excellence, you will merge robust technical expertise with a commitment to delivering exceptional technical solutions. Your primary objective is to generate value for our clientele. In an agile environment, your responsibilities include collaborating with fellow leaders at Fidelity to establish and enhance uniform practices and standards for the specialized skills and knowledge of your Center of Excellence. Furthermore, you will shape the vision, strategic choices, solutions, and priorities of the organization. A significant aspect of your role may involve acting as a mentor and coach, leveraging your experience to elevate team performance.

Team Dynamics:

The Engineering Technology Group Software Engineering Excellence Center of Excellence is committed to nurturing a culture of engineering superiority. This encompasses providing the expertise and capabilities necessary to clearly articulate expectations in engineering principles, methodologies, practices, and processes. Your collaboration will extend to leaders associated with Engineering Technology Software Engineering chapter areas, as well as Architecture, Cloud, and Infrastructure domains.

Required Expertise:

  • A degree in Computer Science or Software/Systems Engineering is preferred.
  • More than 10 years of experience in engineering or development roles.
  • Experience in Cloud Native Engineering, DevSecOps, and Cloud implementation is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with contemporary engineering tools and methodologies.
  • Hands-on ability to create functional example solutions.
  • A proven history of coaching, mentoring, and developing individuals and teams.
  • Experience in Agile leadership is a plus.
