Job Title: AISR Controller

Trace Systems is seeking a highly skilled AISR Controller to join our team. As an AISR Controller, you will play a critical role in supporting the Airborne Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (AISR) Operations Support Center (OCS) and enabling various ISR assets to accomplish their mission.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the AISR OCS and enable various ISR assets to accomplish their mission.
  • Function as the end-to-end AISR call center and first-level incident manager for AISR transport issues.
  • Triage network/system issues, identify the best course of action to restore service, escalate the issue to the correct system tier II technician/service desk, and track/report restoration and mission impact to the DISA Global leadership.
  • Maintain situational awareness and report the health, status, and availability of critical AISR transport terrestrial, satellite gateways, and Full Motion Video (FMV) and other sensor data distribution, including identifying hazardous conditions (HAZCON).
  • Assess and report unscheduled outages to the DISA Global watch desk and provide simultaneous near-real-time situational awareness to the AISR community via government-provided collaboration tools.
  • Coordinate, support, and de-conflict scheduled maintenance and report unscheduled events to strategic and regional AISR mission partners in coordination with the DISA ASI manager.
Requirements:
  • Active, in-scope US Government-issued Secret clearance.
  • US Citizenship is required due to the nature of the work and US Government requirements.
  • A minimum of two to four years of related experience.
  • Basic knowledge of IP circuits and routers.
  • DoD 8570 IAT-II certification (Security+, CCNA-Security, etc.) is required to start.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Ability to multi-task and manage/prioritize workload, including monitoring multiple Network Monitoring Systems, fielding customer calls via unclassified and classified phone systems, maintaining situational awareness via classified chat rooms, and utilizing Global TMS to document all steps taken to identify and resolve service-affecting incidents.
  • Advanced troubleshooting and network analysis skills to determine points of impact for outages and maintenance actions not coordinated with DISA, as well as steps necessary to mitigate service-impacting outages, degradations, or demand maintenance actions/control seizures.
  • Ability to execute alt-route actions on high-priority circuits with very short turnaround time to avoid mission failures due to lost link conditions on flight control circuits, loss of PED quality video feeds to PED sites, and loss of critical support services such as secure communications, radar data, and weather data.
  • Customer service-oriented and able to communicate effectively with our mission and government partners to ensure proper assessment of operational/mission impacts and prompt response to priority circuits.
