The Biotech organization is in search of a seasoned Senior Tax Specialist to become part of their international team, concentrating primarily on the preparation, examination, and compliance of income tax returns. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in tax accounting, specifically with federal, state, and local income tax returns. In this capacity, you will work alongside the finance team to ensure accurate tax-related financial reporting and support during audits. Key Responsibilities

  • Income Tax Compliance:

  • Tax Planning and Research:

    • Stay informed on changes in tax laws and regulations and evaluate their impact on the organization.
  • Financial Reporting:
    • Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate tax-related financial reporting.
    • Assist in the preparation of tax-related disclosures for financial statements.
    • Provide support during audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities to enhance tax processes and improve efficiency.
    • Implement best practices and ensure compliance with internal controls and policies.
    • Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned.

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax accounting, with a focus on income tax return preparation and review.
  • Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
  • Experience in the biotech or manufacturing industry is a plus.
