Job Description

Income Tax Compliance:Prepare and review federal, state, and local income tax returns.Ensure accurate and timely filing of all tax returns in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.Assist with the preparation and review of quarterly and annual tax provisions.Tax Planning and Research:Conduct tax research and analysis to identify potential tax savings and strategies.Assist with tax planning initiatives and provide recommendations to optimize tax positions.Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations and assess their impact on the company.Financial Reporting:Collaborate with the finance team to ensure accurate tax-related financial reporting.Assist in the preparation of tax-related disclosures for financial statements.Provide support during audits and respond to inquiries from tax authorities.Process Improvement:Identify opportunities to improve tax processes and enhance efficiency.Implement best practices and ensure compliance with internal controls and policies.Participate in special projects and initiatives as assigned.

The Successful Applicant

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA certification preferred.Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax accounting, with a focus on income tax return preparation and review.Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.Experience in the biotech or manufacturing industry is a plus.
