Work Schedule:

  • Mid-Shift: 11:00am – 9:30pm (4x10's)
  • Mon-Fri with rotating weekends and holidays
  • Department: Core Laboratory

Note: Visa sponsorship is not available for this role; this position does not participate in the F-1 STEM OPT extension program.

Role Responsibilities

The Medical Lab Scientist in the Core Lab is tasked with facilitating patient care by conducting laboratory tests essential for the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases. This includes performing waived, moderate, and high complexity testing. Experience in a clinical laboratory setting with waived, moderate, and high complexity testing is required.

Key Duties Include:

  • Executing all laboratory tests, including pre-examination phases, in line with standard operating procedures and accreditation standards to ensure effective patient care.
  • Implementing and documenting quality control measures for analytical tests, equipment, reagents, media, and products; assessing quality control results and taking corrective actions as per established protocols to maintain testing accuracy and quality.

Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Medical Laboratory Science
  • Specific Degree(s): Medical Technology, Medical Technician, Medical Laboratory Science
  • Note: No sponsorship available

Licensure and Certifications:

Preferred:

  • Certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (ASCP) or equivalent
  • Other: Laboratory certification required (ASCP or HEW)
