Work Schedule:

  • Mid-Shift: 11:00am – 9:30pm (4x10's)
  • Monday to Friday with rotating weekends and holidays among your colleagues
  • Department: Core Laboratory

Note: Visa sponsorship is not available for this role; this position does not participate in the F-1 STEM OPT extension program.

Role Summary

The Medical Lab Scientist in the Core Laboratory is tasked with facilitating patient care by executing laboratory tests that are essential for the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of illnesses. This encompasses waived, moderate, and high complexity testing. Experience in a clinical laboratory setting with waived, moderate, and high complexity testing is required, either through education or professional experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conducts all laboratory tests, including the pre-examination phase, adhering to standard operating procedures and accreditation standards to ensure quality patient care.
  • Implements and documents established quality control protocols for analytical tests, equipment, reagents, media, and products; assesses quality control results and takes corrective actions as per established guidelines to maintain the precision and quality of patient testing.

Qualifications

Essential:

  • Bachelor's or Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Science
  • Specific Degree(s): Medical Technology, Medical Technician, Medical Laboratory Science
  • No sponsorship available

Licensure/Certifications

Preferred:

  • Certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (ASCP) or equivalent
  • Other: Laboratory certification required (ASCP or HEW)
