Role Responsibilities

The Medical Lab Scientist in the Core Laboratory is tasked with facilitating patient care by executing laboratory tests essential for diagnosing, treating, and preventing diseases. This encompasses waived, moderate, and high complexity testing. Experience in a clinical laboratory setting with waived, moderate, and high complexity testing is required.

Key Duties Include:

  • Conducting all laboratory tests, including pre-examination processes, in accordance with established operating procedures and accreditation standards to support patient care.
  • Executing and documenting quality control protocols on analytical tests, equipment, reagents, media, and products; assessing quality control outcomes and implementing corrective measures as per established guidelines to ensure the precision and quality of patient testing.

Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor's or Associate's Degree in Medical Laboratory Science
  • Specific Degrees: Medical Technology, Medical Technician, Medical Laboratory Science
  • No sponsorship available

Licensure and Certifications:

Preferred:

  • Certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (ASCP) or equivalent
  • Other: Laboratory certification required (ASCP or HEW)
