Administrative Assistant

The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant to provide administrative and clerical support to attorneys, investigators, and mitigation specialists in the Public Defender office.
Key Responsibilities- Provide exceptional customer service to clients and colleagues
- Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date filing and record-keeping systems
- Prepare and edit legal documents, memos, and letters
- Communicate effectively with public defender office colleagues, clients, and judicial system personnel
- Perform various administrative tasks, including data entry and mail preparation
- Working knowledge of office practices and procedures
- Experience using Microsoft applications, specifically Word and Excel
- Familiarity with Google Suite applications, including Gmail and Google Docs
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Prior experience within the criminal justice system
- Fluency in Spanish
