Job Overview

Primary Objective

The role is focused on external sales, cultivating new business opportunities, and managing relationships with designated clients to support all service offerings for Heritage Environmental Services while achieving revenue and profitability targets. This position requires maintaining high standards of product and service delivery, with travel expectations of up to 80%.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prioritize Health & Safety as the foremost objective by adhering to established policies and conducting oneself safely at all times.
  • Enhance sales revenue and profitability by identifying prospective clients and generating orders through direct sales interactions to discuss services and evaluate customer needs.
  • Boost sales revenue and profit margins of current clients through consistent engagement and communication regarding additional services available.
  • Develop and nurture sales relationships with targeted accounts.
  • Compile, present, and analyze regular reports on activities, sales performance, and expenditures.
  • Participate in sales meetings and training sessions; represent the company at industry trade shows, conventions, and professional associations.
  • Stay informed about significant environmental regulatory changes, industry trends, and competitive landscape.
  • Exhibit adaptability to CORE business and customer categorization.
  • Manage Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) to remain below 45 days.
  • Collaborate with clients to establish profiles, service timelines, and ensure quality and satisfaction with current offerings while addressing any concerns.
  • Negotiate pricing and contractual terms effectively.
  • Complete annual sales revenue forecasts and key customer initiatives.
  • Prepare, present, and analyze regular reports on activities, sales performance, and expenditures. Manage and oversee sales expenses, ensuring timely submission of business-related expenses.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of the company's service offerings relevant to the business lines provided to clients.

Education: A four-year college degree is required, preferably in Sales, Business, Marketing, or a related field.

Experience: A minimum of 3 years of proven sales experience in the hazardous/environmental industry is required, or in lieu of a degree, 7+ years of relevant industry experience.

Knowledge and Skills: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential. Proficiency in computer usage is required. A working knowledge of all Heritage services is necessary. Proven sales capabilities are a must. Travel is required up to 80% of the time, including overnight stays. Regular and predictable attendance is a vital function of this role.

A post-offer drug screening will be required.
