Position Overview:
A Project Engineer/Technical Program Manager role is currently available at Belcan.

This position will play a crucial role in supporting a prominent aerospace client in the design, development, and production of rocket engine components and systems.

This is an onsite position requiring presence at a designated facility, with potential travel to various sites as necessary.

This is a full-time direct employment opportunity with a comprehensive benefits package.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Integrated Product Team lead in the development and manufacturing of engine systems.
  • Manage requirements and facilitate customer interactions effectively.
  • Supervise and coordinate interfaces with other subsystems.
  • Be an energetic, organized, and proactive project engineer, ensuring alignment with project scope, schedule, budget, and risk management.
  • Lead and foster cross-functional collaboration to ensure successful project execution.
  • Address procurement and production challenges to prevent delays, collaborating with Supply Chain and Vendors as needed.
  • Understand scheduling and critical paths to drive timelines and mitigate delays.

Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related fields.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in aerospace hardware development and project management.
Must demonstrate self-direction, project ownership, and leadership capabilities.

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, including MS Excel and MS Project.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally as required.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • Direct experience in an aerospace firm or agency focused on engine development.
  • Familiarity with Turbomachinery.
  • Knowledge of Machine Tooling and Manufacturing Processes.
  • Experience with project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Windchill.
  • Proficiency in Requirements Management Tools like DOORS, DOORS-NG, and/or JAMA.
Belcan offers a competitive salary range of $105,000 to $125,000, considering various factors such as education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
