**Job Summary**
Varstaff is seeking a highly skilled Aerospace Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of quality in our aerospace products.
**Responsibilities:**
- Perform detailed inspections of aerospace structural, electrical, and mechanical assemblies and systems using CAD models and blueprints.
- Verify assemblies for conformance against engineering requirements.
- Document nonconformances in accordance with internal procedures and communicate with stakeholders to resolve quality issues.
- Utilize precision measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators to ensure accurate measurements.
- Document hardware using final photo documentation.
- Experience with hardware containment related to non-conformances and notices of escapement from suppliers.
- Perform close-out, first-article, in-process, and final inspections.
**Qualifications:**
- High school diploma or equivalency certificate.
- 5+ years of inspection experience in an aerospace, military, or manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in working with nonconformance systems.
- Competence in blueprint reading skills and 3D modeling.
- Experience with performing electronic and mechanical testing and inspections using portable measuring devices.
- Proficient in inspecting tight tolerance, high-value flight vehicles and systems.
- Familiar with the use of personal computers.
- Self-motivation and ability to prioritize projects to meet completion dates.
- Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
- Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
- Must be willing to work all shifts, overtime, and/or weekends as needed.
- Ability to climb ladders, stoop, bend, crawl, and mobility while working within tight spaces.
**Desired Qualifications:**
- Airframe & Power-plant certificate (A&P) or ASQ CQA.
- Experience working with aerospace propulsion assembly installation and testing processes and procedures.
- Practical experience working within quality management systems (AS9100 and ISO 9001).
- Strong understanding of safety programs and OSHA regulations and requirements.
