**Job Summary**

Varstaff is seeking a highly skilled Aerospace Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest level of quality in our aerospace products.

**Responsibilities:**

  • Perform detailed inspections of aerospace structural, electrical, and mechanical assemblies and systems using CAD models and blueprints.
  • Verify assemblies for conformance against engineering requirements.
  • Document nonconformances in accordance with internal procedures and communicate with stakeholders to resolve quality issues.
  • Utilize precision measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators to ensure accurate measurements.
  • Document hardware using final photo documentation.
  • Manage hardware containment related to non-conformances and notices of escapement from suppliers.
  • Perform close-out, first-article, in-process, and final inspections.

**Qualifications:**

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in aerospace quality assurance, inspection, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in nonconformance systems and blueprint reading skills.
  • Experience with electronic and mechanical testing and inspections using portable measuring devices.
  • Ability to inspect tight tolerance, high-value flight vehicles and systems.
  • Familiarity with personal computers and software applications.
  • Self-motivation and ability to prioritize projects to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
  • U.S. citizenship or national, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
  • Ability to work all shifts, overtime, and/or weekends as needed.
  • Physical ability to climb ladders, stoop, bend, crawl, and work in tight spaces.

**Desired Qualifications:**

  • Airframe and Powerplant certificate (A&P) or ASQ CQA.
  • Experience working with aerospace propulsion assembly installation and testing processes and procedures.
  • Practical experience working within quality management systems (AS9100 and ISO 9001).
  • Strong understanding of safety programs and OSHA regulations and requirements.
