Position Summary:

The Embedded Software Engineer plays a pivotal role in the aerospace sector, concentrating on the design, development, and validation of embedded software (firmware). This position entails crafting software that governs the real-time operations of various physical devices, including motors, alternators, engines, valves, and fans, among other aerospace-related technologies. A profound comprehension of the hardware being managed and its real-time functionalities is essential for the successful design, development, implementation, and testing of the requisite logic and software.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Development: Architect, design, and develop both small modules and extensive components or features of embedded software products, ensuring alignment with hardware requirements.
  • Testing and Implementation: Conduct comprehensive testing of embedded software to guarantee reliability and functionality, optimizing software for the specific hardware it operates.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with hardware engineers and other team members to ensure seamless software and hardware integration, participating in all stages of the design and development lifecycle.
  • Technical Expertise: Continuously enhance your knowledge in technical fields such as networks, operating systems, cybersecurity, databases, and applications, applying this expertise to deliver high-quality embedded software solutions.
  • Problem Solving: Address challenges using sound technical knowledge and judgment, consulting with senior team members for complex issues beyond established procedures.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or a high school diploma/GED with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated understanding of key business drivers and their influence on work.
Eligibility Requirements:
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is mandatory. Sponsorship for employment visas is not available for this position.
  • U.S. Citizenship: This role requires access to technical data subject to U.S. Government contract restrictions, and applications are accepted only from U.S. Citizens.
  • Employment offers are contingent upon successful completion of a drug screening (if applicable).
