Position Summary

The primary objective of this role is to enhance the department's capability to meet its goals and objectives. This includes the safe and efficient execution of non-destructive testing (NDT) in accordance with NADCAP and AS 9100 standards. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.

Key Responsibilities:Below is a list of general duties associated with this position. It is not intended to be exhaustive.

  1. Conduct non-destructive testing activities, including passivation, penetrant, and magnetic-particle inspection, promptly to meet both internal and external customer demands.
  2. Possess the expertise to set up and standardize equipment, process components, interpret results for acceptance or rejection, and document findings accurately.
  3. When specified in written protocols, develop work instructions from approved general procedures, subject to final approval by a level 3 certified professional in the method.
  4. Ensure that all materials conform to customer specifications through adherence to relevant quality policies, procedures, and instructions.
  5. Engage in data collection and communication tasks using Job Boss and other relevant applications.
  6. Perform various clerical duties related to NDT.
  7. Provide necessary guidance and/or supervision to trainees and level 1 personnel.
  8. Adhere to all PAC policies.
Physical Requirements:
  1. Vision must meet NAS-410/ASNT SNT-TC-1A standards.
  2. Ability to stand for at least 95% of the scheduled shift.
  3. Successful completion of a medical examination and drug screening is required prior to employment.
Qualifications:
  1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
  2. A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in essential duties.
  3. Certifiable to Level 2 per NAS 410 requirements for PT and MPI, including a Level 1 PT certification and an additional 16 hours of formal training in PT, along with 270 hours of on-the-job experience, or a trainee with at least 32 hours of formal training in PT and 400 hours of on-the-job experience.
  4. Proficient in using common measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, gauges (pin, thread, indicator, height), optical comparators, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
  5. Blueprint reading skills in accordance with GD&T standards.
  6. In-depth knowledge of aerospace quality procedures and AS9100 standards.
  7. Proficient in MS Office applications.
  8. Ability to read and write in English and perform basic mathematical functions.

Strong verbal communication skills to meet customer relations standards.
