About the Role

Plexsys is seeking a highly skilled Contract Administration Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful execution of our contracts and agreements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contract Administration: Assist in the planning, preparation, and execution of contracts and agreements, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Business Partnering: Collaborate with program managers, project managers, accounting, and customers to provide support and guidance on contract-related matters.
  • Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts and subcontracts for services and supplies, ensuring favorable terms and conditions for the company.
  • Contract Management: Monitor and administer contracts, including extending, modifying, or terminating them as necessary.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including employees, customers, and suppliers, to ensure seamless contract execution.
  • Compliance: Ensure all contracts and subcontracts maintain compliance with all requirements, including regulatory and company policies.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as business, contracting, or accounting, or 4 years of experience in a similar field.
  • Experience: Experience in contract administration within the defense industry, with a strong understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and supplements.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills, with proficiency in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and other MS products.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of Cost Accounting Standards and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, as well as experience in Defense Industry contracts, including Fixed Price, Cost Reimbursable, and Time & Material/Labor Hour Contracts.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Experience: Experience executing contracts as a buyer or contracting officer with a warrant in the USG.
  • Certifications: ACQ 101 Fundamentals of Systems Acquisition Management, Defense Acquisition University (DAU), CON 100 Shaping Smart Business Arrangements, DAU, or other similar DAU courses.
