As an Induction Process Engineer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our operational capabilities. You will be tasked with overseeing various processes including Cleaning, Wet & Dry Abrasive Blasting, Chemical Cleaning, Fluorescent Penetrant, Ultra Sonic, Eddy Current, Coordinate Measuring Inspection Processes, and Water Jet Stripping. Additionally, you will engage in programming for robotic and machine operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute initiatives aimed at improving cell operations.
- Manage the technical aspects of the Automated Clean Line operations.
- Draft machine specifications and introduce advanced technologies based on selected improvement projects.
- Develop process plans and operational work instructions for the shop floor.
- Create fixturing and tooling for induction processes.
- Serve as the primary contact for all communications related to the repair processes within your assigned cell.
- Analyze key performance metrics and propose initiatives for cost savings and process enhancements.
- Deliver presentations on project progress as necessary.
- Advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience in Military, Manufacturing, Logistics, Aerospace, or Aviation; OR Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience; OR Associate's degree with 7+ years of relevant experience; OR High School/Tech School diploma with 9+ years of relevant experience.
- At least 1 year of experience in leading process improvement or capital project implementation.
- U.S. citizenship is required for this position due to the nature of the work.
- Degree in a STEM field, preferably in Engineering or Materials Science.
- Experience in MRO component repair engineering, particularly in an FAA Repair Station or Aftermarket environment.
- Familiarity with Non-Destructive Inspection methods, robotic programming, and chemical cleaning processes.
- Strong technical knowledge of turbine engines and/or Raytheon Technologies products.
- Ability to interpret technical data, engine manuals, and blueprints.
- Experience with CAD/CAM programs, MES systems, ERP systems, and MS Office Suite.
- Strong organizational and project management skills; PMP certification is a plus.
- Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with management, shop personnel, and customers, leveraging technical skills to drive operational excellence.
