POSITION TITLE: PATIENT RETENTION REPRESENTATIVE - I

JOB OVERVIEW

The Patient Retention Representative will play a vital role in facilitating patient care and enhancing access to primary healthcare and preventive services through proactive outreach and follow-up initiatives. This position is accountable for conducting outbound calls to both new and existing patients to ensure they receive the necessary services.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Initiate outreach and follow-up calls to both new and existing patients.
  • Respond to incoming inquiries effectively.
  • Assess the needs of callers and provide accurate information while triaging calls appropriately.
  • Employ effective questioning and listening techniques to foster clear communication over the phone.
  • Manage telephone tasks such as call transfers, message taking, and handling interruptions professionally.
  • Document all patient interactions and appointment details accurately in the electronic health record system.
  • Recognize the significance of maintaining a professional demeanor during calls.
  • Exhibit courtesy and mindfulness regarding call queue management.
  • Promote a philosophy of exceptional customer service.
  • Schedule appointments for new patients and follow-up visits as needed.
  • Collaborate with clinic staff and other departments as required.
  • Adhere to all HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality.
  • Maintain consistent, positive communication with other departments.
  • Encourage a collaborative approach to interdepartmental workflows.
  • Participate in required meetings.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in customer service or call center roles, or similar experience involving outreach activities.
  • Fluency in Armenian/Russian & English OR Spanish & English is mandatory.

COMPENSATION: $21 per hour
