Key Responsibilities

Our Information Technology (IT) division is on the lookout for a dedicated individual to join our dynamic team as a Salesforce Solutions Analyst. Being part of the Youth Villages' IT team means engaging with mission-driven colleagues on impactful projects that directly benefit the youth and families we serve.

This position will be instrumental in the continuous enhancement of our Salesforce implementation. The Analyst will collaborate closely with another Salesforce Analyst, functional leaders, organizational units, and subject matter experts to identify, develop, deploy, and support business processes across various functions including fundraising, mentoring, volunteer management, business development, and operational initiatives. This role encompasses elements of technical project management, administration, and business analysis. The Salesforce Solutions Analyst will oversee the daily configuration, support, maintenance, and optimization of the Salesforce platform. Additionally, they will engage in special projects as directed by senior leadership.

Core Duties and Responsibilities:

The individual in this position will work collaboratively with the Director, senior leadership, and various departments to:

  • Provide technical assistance to users through the organization's help desk system
  • Manage essential administrative tasks such as user account maintenance, report generation, dashboards, workflows, and other routine operations
  • Conduct regular internal system audits and prepare for system upgrades
  • Oversee Salesforce data feeds and other integrations
  • Engage with end users to gather, comprehend, and define business requirements
  • Assist in the onboarding and training of new users, enhancing the Salesforce capabilities across the organization
  • Facilitate testing of new Salesforce features and functionalities
  • Create functional, technical, and system design documentation
  • Offer expert support to end users in managing system and process modifications
  • Act as the system administrator for the Salesforce environment
Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates must demonstrate the ability to fulfill each essential duty effectively. A self-motivated and diligent individual who is adaptable in a fast-paced environment is essential. The qualifications listed below are indicative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities required.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering, IT Management, or a related field is strongly preferred, or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of Salesforce experience, preferably in a non-profit setting; equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • Salesforce Admin (ADM201 and ADM211) certification is preferred

Relevant Experience:

  • 2+ years of experience as a Salesforce administrator or analyst
  • Experience in non-profit organizations is highly preferred

Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to evaluate the impact of new requirements on Salesforce and related applications, systems, and processes
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce, with the capability to create custom applications and objects, formula fields, workflows, custom views, and other intermediate-level content
  • Proven track record in designing and implementing new processes and facilitating user adoption
  • Excellent project management and time management skills, accompanied by a positive attitude
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple requests, and coordinate with various stakeholders
  • Creative and analytical thinker with strong problem-solving capabilities
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively across all organizational levels and collaborate with a diverse team
