Job Overview:

About the Role:

Team Functionality: The Clinical Data Management (CDM) Reporting team specializes in providing analytical insights that support the operations of clinical trials for global medical device studies. Our team utilizes data from multiple sources to create analytical tools that enhance clinical trial management and ensure compliance.

Technology and Tools: The team employs various technologies including SAS, SAS Macros, SAS SQL, Business Objects, Power BI, T-SQL, and VBA, as well as cloud-based solutions like AWS ATHENA and Snowflake for data modeling and lake management.

Work Schedule: Standard working hours are from 8 AM to 5 PM, with flexibility in start and end times to accommodate team members across different time zones. There is no requirement for overtime or travel.

Essential Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in SAS programming and SAS Macro development.
  • Experience in generating reports and data listings using SAS.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite.

Qualifications:
Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. Candidates with a non-related degree must have at least 7 years of experience as an SAS Programmer.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in report development and data listing using SAS.
  • Experience in customer interaction and documentation of report requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to create complex clinical study reports using SAS.
  • Familiarity with departmental SOPs and regulatory environments.
  • Strong organizational skills and adaptability to changing priorities.
  • Effective communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and decision-making capabilities.
Preferred:
  • Experience with Microsoft Power BI or other major reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Cognos).
  • Knowledge of MS Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) and macro development.
  • Data modeling experience is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with EDC systems such as Medidata Rave.
  • Understanding of clinical research processes and relational database fundamentals.

  • Expertise in MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to collaborate with various stakeholders including marketing teams and sales managers.
  • Knowledge of medical affairs operations and compliance regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with reporting and clinical project teams to gather and clarify reporting needs.
  • Engage in the collection of requirements, design, development, testing, and maintenance of clinical study reports and data deliverables.
  • Utilize SAS 9.4 for report and data listing development, with additional skills in Power BI and VBA preferred.
  • Work with validation teams to ensure compliance with regulations and corporate standards.
  • Coordinate with IT to manage SAS job schedules and troubleshoot any issues.
