About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Construction Engineering Inspector / Construction Materials Testing Senior Field Technician to join our team at ECS Limited. As a key member of our Field Services department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of construction projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Field Activities: Conduct on-site observations, testing, sampling, and inspections of materials, including soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel placement.
  • Testing Procedures: Perform routine field tests for soils, aggregates, concrete, grout, masonry, asphalt, and structural steel placement using various methodologies and testing equipment, adhering to industry standards and compliance.
  • Data Collection: Collect and analyze data from sampling, test results, and inspections, and prepare field reports documenting site observations.
  • Communication: Maintain daily communication with site contractors, technicians, and project managers, keeping them informed of changing site conditions and additional testing requirements.
  • Training and Development: Participate in training programs and certification opportunities to enhance professional skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of related experience.
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Current basic level certifications and willingness to obtain additional 2 advanced certifications.
  • OSHA 10 certification is a plus.
  • Ability to lift 40-70 lbs multiple times a day or occasionally lift 85 lbs to waist height.
  • Valid driver's license and insurance.
  • Strong communication skills (speaking, reading, and writing).
  • Excellent understanding of heavy construction safety, practices, and procedures.
  • Ability to work effectively with clients, peers, and supervisors.
  • Proficiency with electronic devices such as phones, tablets, and laptops.
  • Strong math skills with the ability to read maps, follow directions, and interpret engineering and construction plans.
  • Basic knowledge of MS Office.
