Key Responsibilities

As a Principal Geotechnical Engineer, you will spearhead significant projects in geotechnical engineering. Your role will be crucial in defining the strategic direction of our operations.

Team Leadership and Development:
Foster a cooperative atmosphere by mentoring Geotechnical engineers and project managers, enabling them to achieve excellence in their work.

Project Management and Technical Oversight:
Oversee project execution, perform comprehensive technical report evaluations, and develop persuasive proposals. Engage in departmental oversight and manage profit & loss (P&L) responsibilities. Ensure quality assurance and adherence to regulatory standards through meticulous final technical reviews of reports within your expertise.

Business Development and Marketing Strategy:
Lead marketing strategies, enhance business development efforts, and collaborate with team members to effectively promote our services. Strengthen client relationships through consistent engagement and management.

Communication and Mentorship:
Interact effectively with senior management, sharing valuable insights. Provide guidance to junior staff to support their growth in proposal drafting and report composition. Uphold company values and foster a positive workplace culture.

Professional Growth:
Stay updated on industry advancements and safety protocols by participating in essential training programs.

Qualifications and Skills Required

- A minimum of 12 years of experience in geotechnical or construction materials testing engineering.
- Proven track record as a senior reviewer in previous roles.
- Established connections within the local market.
- In-depth knowledge of geotechnical engineering standards, construction codes, and applications across various project types (commercial, residential, infrastructure, etc.).
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, along with strong project and risk management capabilities.
- Familiarity with current geotechnical software for feasibility studies, project management, slope stability, and foundation analysis.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with a focus on business development.

Education and Certifications Required

- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in geotechnical engineering from an ABET accredited institution.
- A Professional Engineer (PE) license is mandatory for this role. Candidates must be able to obtain a local license through reciprocity within three months of hiring.

Preferred Education and Certifications

- Master’s degree in Civil Engineering with a geotechnical focus from an ABET accredited institution.
